Our Regularly Scheduled Program

Well…my husband did not get the job he applied for in Virginia.  I’m signing one son up for Fall preschool, another son up for Spring soccer.  We’re finishing up our oldest daughter’s requirements for her Texas license.  We’re looking forward to another daughter’s turn in Fall marching band and hoping to see our third daughter in the Chorale singing group in her 8th grade year.

We’re just moving on.

WooHoo! Texas loves their Nerdins!!!! I feel for you if you wanted to make this move, however I’m still a selfish being (I’ll work on that another day) and want ya’ll to stay for a really long time. You can love Texas…right?

    • I can learn to enjoy Texas for what it is. Love it? Not sure about that! 🙂 BUT, we certainly have good friends here! 😀

Sorry if you wanted the move. But I’m glad you’ll be staying here!

Well at least you know, instead of being in limbo. Sorry, though.

I’m really happy that you can now go on to regularly scheduled events and move on with your normal everyday things. I’m sorry that he didn’t get the job, but I’m sure that it was meant for you to stay in Tejas, and it looks like Tejas is so happy your staying. I am too. You can never have too many great people hanging around 🙂

  • We went through a very similar situation a few years ago and I can so identify with what you’re probably feeling. For me, it was a desire to move from a place that I hadn’t chosen, so I’d never really tried to make it my home. I tried hard to get us out of here, but God made it clear that wasn’t His plan – even if it was mine! So, we’re still here and I’ve made peace with it, but it’s taken awhile. I do like it here. Every now and then, though, I get an overwhelming feeling that this is not where we’re supposed to be. I’m learning to be patient and wait on His timing.

I guess this comment turned out to be more about me than you – sorry about that! What I meant to say is that I’m sorry things didn’t work out in Virginia and I hope you are all able to find peace with that. Perhaps there’s something even better down the road!
