We’ve had Lucy for over three weeks now, and how she’s grown – literally! She’s getting taller, fuller, her coat is turning blonder and more wiry, she’s getting a funny “beard” around her face and a little “faux-hawk” of blond hair on her crown and back of her neck. She’s consistently sitting at the back door to go outside, though she’ll still have an accident if the kids aren’t paying attention (and yes, her accidents ALWAYS happen when the kids are watching her…mom’s not happy about that one). She sits on command, is a ton of fun to play catch with, and has even gotten a bit more gentle with our 2yo son. Lucy is still happiest on a warm lap, though she’s starting to venture out and take naps in little patches of sun, which is too darned cute. She still wakes a little early for my taste (usually by 5am), but she does fantastic in her crate, not just at night but during the day as well. I love using that as a tool to have some non-puppy time and to have my hands and attention free to tend to other things.
She is the best photo subject around, so I’ve been taking a ton of pictures of her! Here are just a few from the other day. Enjoy!
