I’ll Be Live-Blogging the Mom 2.0 Summit

What I’ve learned in the last 8 days:

a)  I am grateful for my random moments of creativity

b)  I am grateful for my family’s sense of humor

c)  It never hurts to ask for something that you want

Because you know what?…..

That’s right!  Tonight (Monday), Laura Mayes with the uber site kirtsy (who just so happens to be a co-host, with the website OpMom, of the Mom 2.0 Summit) emailed and asked if I would like to live-blog the conference in exchange for room, board, and conference fees.

Can I get a HECK YEAH?!

Turns out they saw my video, liked it, and decided to invite me on board.

After a close brush with hyperventilation and a panic attack over those 30-ish pounds I’ve been meaning to lose, I decided to stop screaming and jumping up and down and let this WONDERFULLY EXCITING news settle over me.

I have so much work to do in the next few days, it’s not even funny.  My biggest task?  Suddenly figuring out how to be the actual person I’ve fooled everyone into believing I am (including myself).

  • Congratulations!

  • Melissa

I am so excited for you!!! You deserve to go and have a blast. And don’t worry, you ARE that great, crazy creative person they all think you are!

  • WOW! How awesome for you! Totally! (Though, I don’t quite know what Mom 2.0 is so I better go check it out!)

Hey, I can make Houston! 🙂 Need some fans??

  • This is REALLY exciting news! Congratulations!

Is this something that takes place each year in Houston? Nova (Farmer’s Wife) and I are already plotting how we can attend next year. 🙂

    Have a fabulous time!

  • I just found out I was going yesterday too, different situation but I had a last minute sponsor…woot. I can’t wait to meet everyone. I will be the one in a big ugly grey boot on my left foot because I broke it at a conference in Miami about a month ago…….I can’t wait.

  • I’m so excited for you!!!

  • Jen

I’m so jealous! I wish I could go too. I can’t wait to read all about it!

Hooray for you!! I saw the video and had to laugh – mostly at the lip-synching *wink* – but also because I loved how supportive of you your family is. Looks like you’ve got fans lots of places. 🙂 Enjoy!

P.S. Thomas and Friends is tomorrow! We’re chugga, chugga, puff, puff, puffing all things Thomas today.
