Hope You Don’t Get Sick of My Ugly Mug

Did anyone notice the addition of that little button over there…on the left sidebar (your left, and, well, I guess my left, too)…with the weird “NaBloPoMo” word on there?

What the heck is that, you ask.

Well, November is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo for short.  It’s a crazy endeavor in which participants commit to writing 50,000 words in 30 days.  I’m not sure why it sounds so easy.  In fact, it sounded so easy to me a few years ago that I actually tried it!  I got about 15,000 words in and just simply pooped out.  Big Fat Fail.  Even though it’s on my list of 101 Goals in 1001 Days (and yes, I’m still working on that!) to participate in another NaNoWriMo, this is not my year.

Enter National Blog Posting Month, or NaBloPoMo, in which you commit to blog every day for 30 days.  That, I can do.  Because as I say, 30 is the new 50,000.

I figure this little introduction will count as my post for today, since I’d really love to tell you about our Halloween but I simply didn’t take any pictures and I’m trying to hunt down friends with photographic evidence of our truly (TRULY!) awesome trunk at the church’s Trunk or Treat.  (hey, ward friends who read this blog – HOLLA!  you got any pictures of my trunk???)  Maybe I’ll come through with that tomorrow.

sorry no pictures. But….the first thing Megan told Matt when we finished getting candy was, “daddy!! I saw a christmas car. With snowmen and candy canes!” She was so excited. It was the first candy they both ate. So cute and creative!

  • Oh I had a friend do the 50,000 words in 30 days. Luckily she already had a great idea going. I think it sounds like a great idea to blog daily for 30 days but I fear, with my life, I would bore everyone and run them off. LOL
